About Clelia Rubino Academy
A non-profit Maths Academy inspired by Clelia Rubino’s spirit of generosity, offering inclusive, practical, and creative mathematics courses.
Our Story
Clelia Rubino Academy was founded in 2024 to honor the memory of Clelia Rubino
Clelia Rubino Academy APS is a non-profit organization founded in Matera (Italy), with its legal headquarters in Altamura (Bari). It was established to honor the memory of Clelia Rubino who tragically passed away from cancer in 2022. Clelia, with joy, dedication, and kindness, always supported family and friends struggling with math and helped make maths simpler and more accessible for everyone. This academy was born to carry forward her legacy, helping students grow with the same spirit she lived by.

Purpose
The Heart Behind Our Mission
This project was created by Clelia’s brother, Nico, to preserve and carry forward her spirit of generosity as a lasting legacy. It was born out of a deep sense of gratitude and a strong belief in the values of sharing, kindness, joy, personal growth, and the courage to improve every single day.
Clelia was a person whose kindness and joy were rare qualities in today’s world. When Clelia passed away from cancer, Nico felt a profound need to find a way to keep her memory alive.
Her constant support to friends and family in mathematics, especially when studying felt overwhelming and success seemed almost unreachable, continues to guide and inspire us today.
Through Clelia Rubino Academy, we are committed to carrying her values into the present and the future. We offer hope, encouragement, and practical support with free maths lessons to every student who feels lost, helping them rediscover confidence and reach their true potential.
Our Methodology
At Clelia Rubino Academy, our teaching approach is grounded in research. Founded in 2024, we chose to apply the Design Thinking framework to gain a deeper understanding of both students and teachers, ensuring that we address real educational needs. Our methodology, developed in 2024, is guided by two essential questions:
- Why do so many students continue to struggle with STEM subjects?
-
How can we make mathematics more accessible, tangible, and engaging for them?
Our team of passionate experts brings together the perfect mix of skills.
